You may want to keep a limit on the number of items you bring camping with you, but having a few key camping accessories along with you can make your experience a lot easer, and more fun. For example, there’s nothing wrong with bringing a flashlight or two along with you for those nighttime walks to the bathroom. And as much fun as it might seem like it would be to start your own fire, this process can actually take quite some time, so you should consider bringing a fast-lighting starter log, waterproof matches or a windproof lighter to speed things up.
One of the best camping accessories you can take with you would be a multi-purpose knife; those with multiple blades and functions are best. Or, depending on what type of environment you plan on staying in, you should consider buying a hatchet to help clear your sleeping are and to collect firewood.
For safety, you should also purchase flares, whistles, strobe lights and a first-aid kit.
